Make Ireland Sustainable for All is part of the EUfunded project ‘Make Europe Sustainable For All’, a three-year project aiming to raise awareness and encourage action to be taken on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The project is being undertaken by 25 project partners across 15 EU Member States.

The project is being implemented in Ireland by the Irish Environmental Network and World Vision Ireland, assisted by ECO-UNESCO and Social Justice Ireland.

 

Irish Environmental Network

The Irish Environmental Network, or IEN, is made up of 30 nationally active Irish Environmental NGOs. The IEN and its members work to protect and enhance the environment, and to place environmental issues centre stage in Ireland and internationally. The IEN’s mission is to promote the interlinked principles of environmental, social and economic sustainability, and works to to secure core and other funding for its members’ activities.

World Vision Ireland

World Vision Ireland is an International Child-Focused Organisation. We have been active in Ireland since 1983 and are part of World Vision International, the largest privately funded NGO in the world. World Vision provides short and long-term assistance to 100 million people worldwide and has over 40,000 staff members working in 100 countries. World Vision Ireland’s aim is also to represent the voice of the most vulnerable children, families and communities by inspiring, informing and engaging decision makers, and also the general public, to be active global citizens in our fight against poverty and injustice as well as active agents of change in building sustainable and peaceful communities.

Social Justice Ireland

Social Justice Ireland is an independent think tank and justice advocacy organisation that seeks to build a just society. We provide independent social analysis and evidence-based policy proposals, with the aim of creating a sustainable future for every member of society and for societies as a whole. In all of this, we focus on human rights and the common good.

 

ECO-UNESCO

ECO-UNESCO is Ireland’s Environmental Education and Youth Organisation that works to conserve the environment and empower young people. ECO-UNESCO’s aims are to raise environmental awareness, understanding and knowledge of the environment among young people; to promote the protection and conservation of the environment; and to promote the personal development of young people through practical environmental projects and activities.
